De UX431 is een iets zwaardere en grotere versie van Asus’ Zenbook 14-laptop, maar kost daardoor ook wat minder dan de UX433. De door ons geteste uitvoering heeft een MX250-gpu aan boord, die vlotter is dan de standaard Intel-gpu, maar door een beperkte tdp niet de snelste MX250 is. De metalen laptopbehuizing is stevig, maar de aansluitingen zijn onpraktisch. Het scherm is een middenmoter: niet slecht, maar het blinkt ook nergens in uit. De accuduur is met negen uur tijdens browsen niet verkeerd en vrij bijzonder is dat er ruimte is om een tweede ssd te plaatsen. Heb je de extra videokaart niet nodig, dan is er ook een UX431FA te koop zonder Nvidia-gpu en met bovendien een mat scherm.
